Young Athlete
I started as a young athlete eager to try it all. The only girl on my flag football team, I worked my way to quarterback. Loving the strategy, the teamwork, and the accomplishment, I relished the wins and learned from the defeats. Soccer, softball, football, volleyball, track & field. Every sport meant something gained.
High School Athlete
High school brought a new field of play – the tennis court. In a few short years, I went from only kind of knowing the rules to Most Improved Player to Most Valuable Player by my senior year. I carry the lessons of persistence, hard work, and fair play with me to this day, using them to grow personally and professionally.
Sports Parent
With children came a new perspective and role as a sports parent. Late-night practices, early-morning games, thousands of travel miles, and seemingly endless fees and equipment. Super fandom isn’t easy, but character-building is priceless. Their love of a game quickly becomes your love of a game…for good.
Sports Fan
Born a Cleveland Brown fan but married to a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Grew up a Northview Wildcat but my kids are Southview Cougars. Studied at both BG and UT. The lesson has been to build a swift and strong allegiance to wherever you land – root where you are planted.
Rockets Fan
As the saying goes, my kid and my money go to the University of Toledo. We are a proud Rockets family that understands just how much UToledo means to the region. It’s essential to help promote the area and our world-class institution by building up its athletic programs and fandom.
Sports Advocate
Sports are life to many students, so it is important that those sports receive fair funding. As a school board member, I pushed to fulfill our obligation of building a Sylvania Northview softball stadium for the Northview and Lourdes softball teams and the Sylvania community.
